So you have put together a band but no idea what to call it. You also are uncertain what to name your new album. Nor are you sure about the artwork to grace the cover of your masterpiece.
All of this solved in five minutes courtesy of this post.
1. WHAT TO NAME YOUR BAND?
First, go to http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Special:Random
This will generate a random entry on Wikipedia every time you visit this link. The first random Wikipedia article you get is the name of your band.
I just did this and came up with the name, “Harpalus quadratus.”
2. TITLE OF YOUR FIRST ALBUM
Next, go to “Random quotations” or click http://www.quotationspage.com/random.php
The last four or five words of the very last quote of the page is the title of your first album.
Doing this right now revealed for me the phrase, “Watching the second hand of a clock.”
3. ALBUM ARTWORK
Go to Flickr and click on “explore the last seven days” or click http://www.flickr.com/explore/interesting/7days The third picture, no matter what it is, will be your album cover.
For me this was the image I got:
4. PUT IT ALL TOGETHER
Go to addtext.com to put it all together. You can also use Photoshop or similar.
5. FINISHED
Ta-da! Below is my effort. Total time from start to finish: 5 minutes.
If you decide to play with some of these ideas, post your final work in the comments section below. Odes to randomness. And who knows, the saving of thousands of dollars to creative consultants?

Ok, not sure if it will save on creative consultancies, but it sure might. Really well done Kruse!
Looking forward to trying this!
Same here. Looking forward to it as well!
